Harmony Intelligent Mobility's New Aito M8 Files with MIIT: Offers 5/6-Seater and Extended-Range/EV Variants

According to the public notice of new products in the 410th batch of the "Announcement on Road Motor Vehicle Manufacturers and Products" issued by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT), several new variants of the Harmony Intelligent Mobility (Hongmeng Smart Mobility) Aito M8 have completed registration. The current filing includes four models: two range-extended versions equipped with either lithium iron phosphate (LFP) batteries or ternary lithium batteries, respectively, and two battery-electric versions differing in curb weight. All registered models share identical exterior dimensions: length of 5,190 mm, width of 1,999 mm, height of 1,795 mm, wheelbase of 3,105 mm, front track of 1,716 mm, and rear track of 1,727 mm. Seating configurations are available in both five-seat and six-seat variants. Tire options include 255/50R20, 275/50R20, 265/45R21, or 285/45R21. The maximum speed is rated at 200 km/h. The vehicles offer optional features such as differently styled wheels, side running boards, and onboard ETC devices. All models are equipped with an Event Data Recorder (EDR) system.
