Vita Dynamics recently officially launched its global expansion strategy, with Japan as its first destination. The company has signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Future Robotics, a Japanese robotics solutions provider. The two parties plan to jointly expand into the Japanese market over the next three years, with an initial cooperative order valued at RMB 1 billion. Founded in August 2015 and headquartered in Tokyo, Japan, Future Robotics was established by core members of Waseda University’s robotics research group. This research group was founded in the 1970s by Professor Ichiro Kato and is among the world’s earliest teams dedicated to humanoid robotics research. Future Robotics focuses on five key areas tailored for a super-aged society: human-robot collaborative smart manufacturing, post-disaster rescue and reconstruction, intelligent medical services, and public welfare applications. The company possesses end-to-end capabilities spanning requirement analysis, application development, and project implementation. Future Robotics has already procured and introduced Vita Dynamics’ flagship quadruped robot development platform, “DATOU EDU Edition,” and will carry out localized application development and scenario validation, particularly in elderly companionship and rural public services. The DATOU EDU Edition comes standard with 128 TOPS edge computing power, a high-resolution stereo camera, and a 16-line LiDAR sensor, and offers open access to ROS 2 along with five types of development interfaces. Beyond Japan, Vita Dynamics is advancing preliminary research and pilot deployments in China and Singapore, targeting scenarios such as senior living communities, wellness hospitals, and retirement villages. Additionally, the company plans to accelerate the establishment of integrated online and offline retail channels, a global logistics and warehousing network, and an after-sales service infrastructure across key international markets—including the United States, Europe, the Middle East, Singapore, and South Korea—while also working to integrate with leading global cloud platforms and large AI models.
