South Korean NPU company Mobilint today launched the MLD-R1, a USB-powered edge AI accelerator. Built on Mobilint’s REGULUS AI SoC, the device delivers 10 TOPS of INT8-precision compute performance and integrates a quad-core Arm Cortex-A53 CPU running at 1.5 GHz, paired with either 4 GB or 8 GB of LPDDR4X-4267 memory. Measuring 90 × 40 × 16 mm, the MLD-R1 connects via USB with a 5 Gbps data transfer rate, features a thermal design power (TDP) of 3W, and offers IP65-rated dust and water resistance for 24/7 continuous operation. The device supports popular AI frameworks including Keras, TensorFlow, TensorFlow Lite, PyTorch, and ONNX, and is compatible with both Windows and Linux operating systems across x86, Arm, and RISC-V host CPU architectures.
