On August 7, a new icon for Copilot in Microsoft Edge was spotted in the Edge Canary test build. The updated icon features a simplified, flat design, removing the previous 3D shadow effect while retaining colors and shapes similar to the current Copilot icon. This new icon first appeared in an Edge Canary version tagged with "EdgeIconRefresh" and briefly showed up in some menus before Microsoft removed it. Additionally, Copilot icons in the same style have also surfaced in the latest versions of Microsoft 365 Office applications. Microsoft has not yet announced an official release date for the new icon.
