The Harmony Intelligent Mobility's first boxy SUV, the Enjoyer G9, opened for pre-orders recently with a starting price of RMB 439,800, racking up over 10,000 reservations within 24 hours. Earlier, some questioned the authenticity of the vehicle’s promotional video showing it driving through a muddy pit, citing the absence of mud splatters on the body paint as evidence that the footage was AI-generated. Subsequently, multi-angle real-world videos were released, confirming the original video was genuinely filmed. The official explanation stated that the Enjoyer G9’s outermost paint layer uses a transparent clear coat featuring a smooth surface, minimal microscopic pores, and low surface energy, giving it strong hydrophobic properties that cause mud and water to bead up and roll off, preventing adhesion. Positioned as a versatile off-road SUV, the Enjoyer G9 debuts Huawei’s TerrainMaster full-terrain platform. It features a front double-wishbone and rear five-link independent suspension setup, along with a closed dual-chamber air suspension system offering 130 mm of adjustable travel, and a factory-rated maximum wading depth of 900 mm. Except for the base model, all other trims come standard at launch with an 800V fully active disconnectable anti-roll bar. The vehicle also integrates Huawei’s SmartDrive adaptive e-differential lock system, which includes a dog-clutch mechanical differential lock. Combined with an all-terrain perception system and next-generation dual-optical-path imaging-grade LiDAR, it automatically identifies terrain types and adjusts chassis parameters to deliver comprehensive all-terrain driving assistance.
