GAC Trumpchi E8 HEV+ Enters Registration: 7-Seater MPV with 3-Meter Wheelbase

According to the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology's (MIIT) 410th batch of the "Announcement on Road Motor Vehicle Manufacturers and Products," the GAC Trumpchi E8 HEV+ has completed its registration. This model is a gasoline-electric hybrid multi-purpose passenger vehicle that does not support external charging and features a unibody chassis structure. Its dimensions are 5,000 mm (length) × 1,900 mm (width) × 1,786 mm (height), with a wheelbase of 3,000 mm, front track of 1,621 mm, rear track of 1,636 mm, front overhang of 915 mm, rear overhang of 1,085 mm, approach angle of 14 degrees, departure angle of 18 degrees, and a rated seating capacity of seven passengers. In terms of powertrain, the vehicle is equipped with a 4A15J4 engine manufactured by Guangzhou Qisheng Powertrain Co., Ltd., with a displacement of 1,498 ml, maximum output of 125 kW, and maximum net power of 120 kW. The energy storage system consists of lithium iron phosphate batteries produced by Sunwoda Electric Vehicle Battery Co., Ltd. The vehicle has a top speed of 170 km/h, a gross vehicle weight of 2,750 kg, and a curb weight of either 2,060 kg or 2,165 kg. The new model comes with tires sized 225/55R18 and is equipped with an Anti-lock Braking System (ABS, supplied by Bosch Automotive Products (Suzhou) Co., Ltd.) and an Event Data Recorder (EDR). Optional features include a sunroof, side body cladding, non-privacy glass, omission of roof-mounted radar, omission of rear camera, omission of side cameras, omission of fender-mounted cameras, and an onboard ETC device.
