On August 7, 2025, BYD’s Denza N8L (non-flash charging version) received an OTA update to its infotainment system, upgrading to version V1.4.0. This update introduces four new microphone-free karaoke audio effects—Original, Baby Voice, Monster Voice, and Smart Harmony—and adds a scheduled Sentry Mode feature that allows users to customize activation and deactivation time slots. It also debuts the “Xiao Shi” digital avatar with voice-activated interaction, enabling the avatar to appear upon voice command. Additional features include a toggle for allowing navigation voice prompts during phone calls, proactive reminders for Parking Assistant orders with in-car payment support, and a quick-access shortcut for folding/unfolding the rearview mirror in the panoramic view interface. The navigation system now displays a list of “on-the-way” search results along with detour time and distance information. When searching for charging stations, the system recommends nearby flash-charging stations and supports quick filtering. Furthermore, the DiLink intelligent cockpit UI has been comprehensively upgraded with revised page layouts, optimized automatic air-conditioning fan speed adjustment during voice calls, and improved steering wheel operation smoothness at high speeds. The Denza N8L officially launched on October 28, 2025, positioned as a large, six-seat premium SUV focused on safety and luxury. It is offered in two trims: the Deluxe (RMB 299,800) and the Flagship (RMB 329,800). The vehicle measures 5,200 mm long, 1,999 mm wide, and 1,820 mm tall, with a wheelbase of 3,075 mm. It is powered by a plug-in hybrid system combining a 2.0T engine (maximum output: 152 kW) and three electric motors (front: 200 kW; left rear: 180 kW; right rear: 180 kW), achieving a 0–100 km/h acceleration time of 3.9 seconds and a CLTC all-electric range of 230 km.
