The Beijing Off-road Xingtan 5X has appeared in the latest MIIT (Ministry of Industry and Information Technology) vehicle registration catalog. Positioned as a mid-to-large SUV, the model offers three powertrain options: gasoline, plug-in hybrid, and all-electric. It features two distinct exterior designs corresponding to its different powertrain configurations. The gasoline version sports a boxy front end with a vertical-slat grille, while the plug-in hybrid and all-electric variants feature a closed-off front fascia. The side profile includes conventional door handles, a straight roofline, and roof-mounted rails. At the rear, the vehicle adopts a side-hinged tailgate and comes equipped with an externally mounted spare tire.
