On August 8, NIO officially announced that its ES9 model has achieved the delivery milestone of 20,000 units in just 73 days since deliveries began on May 28, 2026—setting a new record for the fastest delivery pace among premium electric passenger vehicles priced above RMB 500,000 in China’s market. The ES9 was officially launched on May 27, with a full-vehicle purchase price range of RMB 498,000 to RMB 628,000. Under NIO’s battery-as-a-service (BaaS) subscription plan, the vehicle is priced between RMB 390,000 and RMB 520,000. Specifically: - The Executive Luxury Edition starts at RMB 498,000 for full purchase and RMB 390,000 under the BaaS plan; - The Executive Signature Edition starts at RMB 558,000 for full purchase and RMB 450,000 under BaaS; - The Horizon Special Edition has a pre-sale price starting at RMB 628,000 for full purchase and RMB 520,000 under BaaS. The vehicle measures 5,365 mm in length, 2,029 mm in width, and 1,870 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3,250 mm. Powering the ES9 is a full-domain 900V high-voltage architecture, delivering a peak power output of 520 kW and peak torque of 700 N·m. It features NIO’s self-developed six-piston brake calipers, achieving a 100–0 km/h braking distance of just 35.3 meters. The standard configuration includes a 102 kWh battery pack, offering a CLTC-rated range of 620 km. Additional advanced features include steer-by-wire technology, a fully active suspension system, and rear-wheel steering, enabling a turning radius as tight as 5.4 meters.
