Dongfeng Fengxing Star V6 Launches at ¥89,900–104,900

On August 8, Dongfeng Forthing officially launched its all-new mid-to-large pure electric SUV, the Xinghai V6, with two variants priced between RMB 89,900 and RMB 104,900. The vehicle features a 2+2+2 six-seat layout and offers a maximum CLTC-rated range of 510 km. The Xinghai V6 adopts a "Tri-Form Unity" crossover design philosophy, blending the wide-body cabin of an MPV, the stance of an SUV, and the sleek lines of a coupe. Its front fascia features a closed-off grille paired with waterfall-style LED headlights, while functional air intakes are retained in the lower bumper. The vehicle boasts an aerodynamic drag coefficient of 0.269 Cd. At the rear, it sports a horizon-themed full-width LED light bar with blacked-out internal detailing. Inside, the cabin features an enveloping layout crafted with plant-based eco-friendly materials and low-aldehyde coating processes. All trims come standard with a 14.6-inch floating central touchscreen and an 8.8-inch fully digital instrument cluster. The higher-end variant upgrades to a 15.6-inch 2.5K high-resolution display powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8295 chip. The intelligent voice assistant supports dialect recognition and multi-position voice wake-up functionality. Under the hood, the Xinghai V6 is equipped with a permanent magnet synchronous motor produced by Zhuhai InPower Electric, delivering a total output of 135 kW. It is available with two battery options—45.5 kWh and 60.5 kWh—offering CLTC ranges of 400 km and 510 km, respectively. The vehicle also supports 6.6 kW vehicle-to-load (V2L) external power output.
