Tesla Owner Sets New Record: Over 40,000 km of Continuous FSD Driving with Zero Interventions

According to public information, Tesla owner David Moss recently became the first user to achieve over 25,000 miles (approximately 40,234 kilometers) of continuous, zero-intervention driving using Tesla’s Full Self-Driving (FSD) system. This distance is equivalent to circling the Earth’s equator once or roughly two years’ worth of driving for an average U.S. driver. Starting with FSD version 14.2, Tesla introduced an “Autopilot Statistics” page and added a “Continuous Intervention-Free FSD Miles” widget to the main driver interface. Version 14.3.4 further incorporated celebratory animations that trigger full-screen confetti displays on the center screen when users reach milestones such as 250, 500, 1,000, or 5,000 consecutive miles without intervention. Moss previously gained attention for driving nearly 13,000 consecutive miles without intervention and completing a fully autonomous FSD cross-Canada trip. Upon reaching the 25,000-mile milestone, the system once again triggered a celebration animation. Records indicate that throughout this continuous drive, no steering corrections, braking, or any other form of human intervention occurred. Tesla has not yet disclosed whether higher-mileage milestones—such as 50,000 miles—will feature dedicated celebration animations.
