Mercedes-AMG unveiled official teaser images on August 10 of its upcoming all-electric SUV. Expected to be named the AMG GT SUV, the vehicle is built on the high-performance AMG.EA electric architecture and features a tri-motor all-wheel-drive layout, delivering a combined peak output of 1,000 kW (approximately 1,360 horsepower) and a WLTP-rated range of 460 kilometers. The model is scheduled for an official debut in 2027. The teaser images reveal a bold front fascia with a large vertical-slat grille, pronounced hood lines, and flared wheel arches, complemented by highly distinctive LED daytime running lights. At the rear, circular LED taillights integrate an illuminated three-pointed star emblem. Technologically, the vehicle will be equipped with axial-flux electric motors developed by UK-based YASA. Each motor weighs just 12.7 kilograms and achieves a specific power output of 59 kW per kilogram. The SUV supports ultra-high-power fast charging, capable of adding 400 kilometers of range in just five minutes. Additionally, it will feature an electronic acoustic system that simulates the sound of a V8 internal combustion engine. Mercedes-AMG also plans to introduce an even higher-performance variant, with power output potentially reaching 1,500 horsepower.
