From:Internet Info Agency 2026-08-10 21:30:10

On August 10, Boeing announced the sale of three of its subsidiaries to Archer Aviation, an electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) company, along with an investment in Archer. The divested businesses include Wisk Aero, which has experience in eVTOL design and testing; SkyGrid, which focuses on ground-based air traffic management solutions; and Insitu, a defense-focused unmanned aerial systems company. As part of the transaction, Boeing and Archer will establish a collaborative relationship with technology-sharing arrangements, and Boeing will retain access to Wisk’s core autonomous flight technology. This deal provides Boeing with strategic advantages through its equity stake in Archer and allows the company to concentrate its current and future investments on its core business.
