On August 10, BAIC Group held a ceremony at its R&D center to mark the delivery of its 40-millionth vehicle—the Arcfox brand’s WenDao V9—officially handed over to owner Zhou Tao. Six of BAIC’s vehicle brands—Beijing Benz, Beijing Hyundai, BAIC Foton, BAIC Off-road, Stelato, and Arcfox—jointly completed the milestone delivery through a countdown relay format. Zhang Jianyong, Party Secretary and Chairman of BAIC Group, stated that reaching 40 million vehicles represents the trust of 40 million users. He outlined four guiding principles for achieving the next 10-million-unit milestone: 1) Prioritizing user needs as the starting point for product development and services; 2) Treating product quality as the core competitive advantage and enhancing user value through innovation; 3) Ensuring technological R&D serves real-world user scenarios, with a focus on intelligent safety, health and comfort, and quiet cabin environments to build distinctive technical strengths; 4) Deepening collaboration with industry chain partners, integrating resources, and engaging user communities to jointly advance scale targets. Founded 68 years ago, BAIC Group has developed a multi-segment business structure encompassing independent passenger vehicles (Arcfox, Stelato, BAIC Off-road), independent commercial vehicles (BAIC Foton), and joint ventures (Beijing Benz, Beijing Hyundai). The group has filed approximately 42,000 patent applications and has received China’s Automotive Industry Science and Technology Progress First Prize seven times. In overseas markets, BAIC’s annual exports have surpassed 300,000 units. Currently, the company is advancing its “One Core, Five Transformations” strategy—pursuing market orientation, group integration, internationalization, digital intelligence, and decarbonization.
