On August 11, Rochling Automotive announced it has been awarded a定点 (nomination) for Leapmotor International’s (LPMI) European vehicle program, under which it will supply active aerodynamics, exterior components, and fluid management systems for Leapmotor models soon to be launched in Europe. The related products will be manufactured at Rochling’s plant in Araia, Spain. Rochling and Leapmotor have collaborated in the Chinese market since 2019, establishing a technical and supply relationship. This European project marks the first expansion of their partnership into overseas markets. Leapmotor International, a joint venture between Leapmotor and Stellantis, is responsible for sales and manufacturing outside Greater China. In recent years, it has actively advanced its European footprint, designating Spain as one of its key production hubs. Rochling’s entry into Leapmotor’s European supply chain signifies Leapmotor’s strategic shift in Europe—from whole-vehicle exports toward localized production, local sourcing, and regionalized supply.
