Xiaomi Auto Releases Pengcheng Wading Mode Guidelines and Three In-Car Table Configurations

On August 11, Xiaomi Auto released its "Answers to Netizens' Questions" (Episode 274), revealing that all models in the Xiaomi Pengcheng series are equipped with a wading mode. Among them, the N90 Max has a maximum wading depth of 750 mm, while the N70 Max reaches 650 mm. This feature is designed for emergency scenarios such as flooded urban roads after heavy rain, underpasses, sunken tunnels, and low-lying areas. Drivers must manually activate the mode and proceed at low speed, and should avoid prolonged or long-distance wading. If water depth exceeds the vehicle’s maximum wading limit, the system will trigger an alert: “Entered deep water area—please exit immediately,” and automatically unlock child safety locks and open rear windows to facilitate evacuation. The vehicle also supports emergency floating escape, maintaining a dry cabin with no significant water ingress for up to three minutes. After wading, users must contact a service center immediately for inspection and maintenance. Additionally, Xiaomi Pengcheng offers three types of in-car desk trays: - The dual-cupholder version measures 600 mm × 420 mm and mounts onto the center island cup holder. - The rail-mounted version allows adjustable positioning in fore-aft direction, height, and angle, accommodating a 16-inch laptop. - The third option, priced at RMB 299, measures 330 mm × 290 mm, attaches via cup holders, and is usable by both driver and front passenger. All three desk trays feature hidden magnetic mounting points and include a 1/4-inch threaded expansion hole on the bottom, and are intended for use only when the vehicle is parked.
