Manus has announced its separation from Meta and will resume operations as an independent company. In compliance with regulatory requirements in certain jurisdictions, some user data generated on or after December 29, 2025, will be deleted between 08:00 on August 23, 2026, and August 24, 2026. Affected users—primarily those who registered using an Apple ID or Facebook account—will receive notifications via the Manus app and email. Users may back up their data from now until 07:59 on August 23, 2026, and restore it starting at 08:00 on August 25, 2026. Official data backup and restoration tools are already available. Once the backup window closes, affected users will lose access to their accounts until the data restoration portal reopens at 08:00 on August 25, 2026. Following its independence, Manus will store user data in the United States and Singapore. Upon successful data restoration, users will receive a welcome-back reward.
