To celebrate the 75th anniversary of the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance, Aston Martin unveiled three bespoke DB12 S VMF models in August 2024. The event, which began on November 5, 1950, will hold its 75th edition on August 16, 2026, at Pebble Beach Golf Links in California. Aston Martin’s bespoke division, Q, drew inspiration from the three factory-entered DB2 race cars that competed in the 1951 24 Hours of Le Mans to create these one-of-a-kind vehicles—each a unique global exclusive. The original trio of DB2 racers bore British registration numbers VMF 63, VMF 64, and VMF 65, distinguished by brightly colored grilles. All three new models feature a Carbon Black base paint finish, accented respectively with Rosso Red, Speed Yellow, and Ellwood Blue details. Exterior highlights include color-matched grille vanes, circular number plaques bearing “75” on the front fenders, special carbon fiber side sills, colored Aeroblade air blades, and rear-end graphics styled after the classic DB2. Inside, the cabins are trimmed with contrast stitching matching each car’s exterior accent color. The front seat backrests are embroidered with a DB2 silhouette motif, while the rear seats display the number “75.” The start/stop rotary controller and shift paddle ends also receive corresponding color treatments.
