On the 12th, Liu Jie, Deputy Secretary of the Zhejiang Provincial Party Committee and Governor of the province, conducted a special field visit in Hangzhou to survey the development of new energy vehicle (NEV) enterprises. Liu emphasized that the NEV and auto parts industry is a vital component of Zhejiang’s modern industrial system. He stressed the need to strengthen the collaborative mechanism between “chain leaders” (leading enterprises) and “chain chiefs” (government coordinators) to enhance efficient coordination across the entire industrial chain, support leading enterprises in growing stronger and larger, and encourage more auto parts suppliers to accelerate their integration into vehicle manufacturers’ supply systems, thereby expanding the scale of Zhejiang’s NEV industrial cluster. He further underscored the importance of intensifying efforts to break through key core technologies, adhering to the directions of intelligentization, green development, and integration, and leveraging enterprises as the main drivers of innovation. He called for supporting high-quality local companies to focus on specialized segments and expedite deployment of next-generation core technologies, promoting deeper integration of emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence with the automotive industry. Additionally, he urged accelerating the expansion of innovative application scenarios and enhancing service guarantees in areas such as talent, finance, and land use to foster a favorable environment for the high-quality development of the NEV industry.
