On August 13, U.S. subsidiaries of Japanese companies—including Toyota Motor, Nintendo, Sony Group, and Fast Retailing—were sued by American consumers. The plaintiffs allege that these companies passed on the costs of "reciprocal tariffs" to consumers through higher product prices.
