BYD Unveils Custom Colors for Sealion 08, Launching in August

On August 14, Zhang Zhuo, General Manager of BYD Auto’s Ocean Network Sales Division, unveiled multiple premium color options for the Ocean flagship SUV, the Sealion 08. Two-tone combinations include Frosty Jade Silver/Poseidon Green and Frosty Jade Silver/Sea Mist Purple. Solid colors include Frosty Jade Silver, Poseidon Green, Sea Mist Purple, Obsidian Black, and Starry Grey. Interior color choices are Light Cloud White and Deep Night Purple. The Sealion 08 made its global debut at the Beijing Auto Show in April this year, with dimensions of 5,115 mm in length, 1,999 mm in width, and 1,800 mm in height, and a wheelbase of 3,030 mm. The model is available in both all-electric and plug-in hybrid variants. The all-electric versions include a single-motor low-power variant (320 kW), a single-motor high-power variant (370 kW), and a dual-motor variant (215 kW front motor / 370 kW rear motor). The plug-in hybrid version features a 1.5T engine (maximum power output of 115 kW) paired with front and rear electric motors (each delivering a peak power of 200 kW). The all-electric models offer two range options—800 km and 900 km—and are available in both five-seat and six-seat configurations. The vehicle is scheduled to launch in August.
