On August 13, Chery Automobile adjusted the reporting structure of its Exeed division. In line with strategic development and operational management needs, Zhang Guibing, Executive Vice President of Chery Automobile, has taken over responsibility for the Exeed division and will now report directly to Zhang Guozhong, Senior Vice President of Chery Automobile. His other roles remain unchanged. Zhang Guibing has long overseen overseas operations, while Li Xueyong, also an Executive Vice President of Chery Automobile, primarily manages domestic operations. In July 2025, Chery established the "Chery Brand Domestic Business Group," comprising four divisions: Exeed, AiHu, Fengyun, and QQ. Li Xueyong concurrently serves as General Manager of this business group. Previously operating relatively independently, Exeed’s domestic operations have now been fully integrated into this group. The Jetour, Zhijie, and iCAR brands remain unaffected by this restructuring. There is currently no indication whether Exeed will be administratively separated entirely from the domestic business group, but Li Xueyong no longer directly oversees Exeed. This adjustment shifts Exeed’s reporting line from domestic to overseas leadership. Launched in 2018, Exeed is Chery Group’s premium new energy vehicle brand, offering products across fuel-powered, hybrid, and fully electric segments. According to a Chery Group announcement, Exeed sold 8,376 vehicles in July 2026, up 0.6% year-over-year; however, its cumulative sales for the first seven months of 2026 reached 41,564 units, down 39.3% compared to the same period last year.
