According to data from the Turkish Automotive Manufacturers Association (OSD), Turkey's total vehicle production from January to July 2024 declined by 8.1% year-on-year to 767,216 units. Passenger car output during the same period fell by 18.6% year-on-year to 424,667 units. Meanwhile, vehicle exports dropped by 12.3% year-on-year to 462,552 units, although export revenue in U.S. dollar terms rose by 1.8% in the first half of the year, reaching USD 23.9 billion. In July 2024 alone, motor vehicle production decreased by 19.2% year-on-year to 103,817 units, with passenger car production plunging by 31.8% to 56,187 units. Vehicle export revenue in July declined by 6.8% year-on-year in dollar terms to USD 3.5 billion.
