Jeep Grand Cherokee Launches Upland Trim Starting Under $50,000

Jeep has recently launched a new Upland trim for the Grand Cherokee, positioned between the standard urban-oriented model and the rugged Trailhawk off-road variant. Starting at under $50,000 (approximately RMB 337,000), it is priced $5,000 (about RMB 34,000) lower than the Trailhawk version. Exterior-wise, the Upland features the same front fascia as the Trailhawk, along with Steam Gray tow hooks and dark gray exterior accents. It rides on 18-inch Trailhawk-style wheels wrapped in 265/60 R18 all-terrain tires. Inside, the cabin is appointed with Capri synthetic leather and suede-trimmed seats in Global Black, accented with blue stitching and black Lenox cloth inserts. The front seats offer eight-way power adjustment, four-way power lumbar support, and heating functionality. The vehicle also comes equipped with blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-path detection systems. Under the hood, the Upland is powered by a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine producing 241 kW (324 hp) and 450 N·m of torque, paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission. However, unlike the Trailhawk, it does not feature air suspension or a mechanical four-wheel-drive transfer case.
