According to data from the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM), in July 2026, China exported 1.043 million vehicles, up 0.6% month-over-month and 81.3% year-over-year. Of this total, passenger vehicle exports reached 922,000 units, increasing by 2% month-over-month and 84.6% year-over-year, while commercial vehicle exports totaled 121,000 units, down 8.6% month-over-month but up 59.6% year-over-year. Exports of conventional fuel-powered vehicles amounted to 490,000 units in July, a 4.6% month-over-month decline but a 40% year-over-year increase. Meanwhile, new energy vehicle (NEV) exports reached 553,000 units, rising 5.7% month-over-month and surging 150% year-over-year. From January to July 2026, cumulative vehicle exports totaled 6.14 million units, up 66.8% year-over-year. Passenger vehicle exports during this period reached 5.354 million units, an increase of 72.5% year-over-year; commercial vehicle exports totaled 785,000 units, up 36.1% year-over-year. Conventional fuel vehicle exports stood at 3.231 million units, growing 36.2% year-over-year, while NEV exports reached 2.909 million units, soaring 120% year-over-year.
