Dongfeng Peugeot-Citroën New Entity Registered with Nearly RMB 8.2 Billion Capital

Recently, Shenlong Automotive Technology (Wuhan) Co., Ltd. completed its business registration in the Wuhan Economic & Technological Development Zone, with a registered capital of nearly RMB 8.2 billion. The company is structured as a limited liability company (foreign-invested, non-wholly foreign-owned), and its business scope includes R&D of automotive components and sales of new energy vehicles. Huang Yong serves as its legal representative; he also holds positions as Standing Committee Member of the Party Committee and Vice President of Dongfeng Motor Corporation, as well as Chairman of Shenlong Automobile Co., Ltd. On May 15, 2024, Dongfeng Motor Corporation, Stellantis Group, Shenlong Automobile Co., Ltd., Yangtze River Industrial Investment Group Co., Ltd., Wuhan Financial Holdings (Group) Co., Ltd., and Wuhan Jingkai Industrial Investment Group Co., Ltd. signed a strategic cooperation agreement with a total investment exceeding RMB 8 billion. The parties plan to integrate global brand and market resources to drive Shenlong Automobile’s transformation and upgrading toward intelligent, international, and green development. Starting from 2027, they intend to successively launch new energy vehicles under the Peugeot brand and simultaneously introduce Stellantis’ global Jeep models, establishing an R&D center and a Jeep brand sales company in Wuhan.
