BYD Fangchengbao Ti-9 PHEV Six-Seater SUV to Debut Globally at 2026 Chengdu Auto Show

On August 18, Yangwang Auto—a brand under BYD—announced that its new model, the Yangwang T9, will make its global debut at the Chengdu International Auto Show in 2026. The T9 is a plug-in hybrid, six-seat, full-size SUV with dimensions of 5,270 mm (length) × 1,999 mm (width) × 1,850/1,880 mm (height) and a wheelbase of 3,130 mm. According to filings submitted to China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT), the vehicle has a curb weight of 2,865/2,965 kg, a gross vehicle weight of 3,495 kg, and a top speed of 220 km/h. Powering the T9 is a 1.5-liter engine (part of a 1.5T plug-in hybrid system) delivering an engine output of 115 kW and a maximum net power of 110 kW. It also features dual electric motors: the front motor has a rated power of 90 kW and a peak power of 200 kW, while the rear motor offers a rated power of 70 kW and a peak power of 200 kW. The vehicle uses lithium iron phosphate (LFP) batteries and is rated for six passengers. Yangwang released official images of the T9 on August 10, stating that the launch of this model “won’t be long now.”
