Lincoln is developing a new rugged off-road SUV based on the Ford Bronco platform, aiming to compete directly with the Mercedes-Benz G-Class. The project has entered the production preparation phase, with an internal codename already assigned. Production is expected to begin in late summer 2029 at the Michigan Assembly Plant in Wayne, Michigan, sharing the same production line as the Ford Bronco. The vehicle is projected to start at $70,000 (approximately RMB 473,000), undercutting both the current starting price of the Lincoln Navigator ($89,995) and the U.S. starting price of the Mercedes-Benz G550 ($153,900). This model will be part of Lincoln’s broader revitalization strategy, as Ford plans to expand Lincoln’s U.S. domestic production starting in 2030 and discontinue importing the Corsair model from China.
