According to informed sources, RobotEra is planning to list on the Main Board of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, aiming to raise between USD 800 million and USD 1 billion. The company has already engaged its advisory team to advance preparations for the listing, though specific details remain under discussion. RobotEra has not yet issued an official public response regarding these reports. Founded in August 2023 and incubated by Tsinghua University’s Institute for Interdisciplinary Information Sciences (IIIS), RobotEra is the only embodied intelligence company directly held by Tsinghua University. Its founder, Chen Jianyu, is an Assistant Professor and Ph.D. supervisor at IIIS. In terms of business operations, RobotEra has developed a vertically integrated hardware system—from core components such as motors, drivers, and reducers to complete robots—based on its self-developed “embodied brain” and “humanoid body” technologies, achieving a self-reliance rate exceeding 95%. Its product portfolio includes the fully direct-drive dexterous hand series XHAND, the full-size bipedal humanoid robot Xingdong L7, and the commercial service robot Xingdong Q5. Additionally, the company offers end-to-end embodied intelligence solutions tailored for the logistics industry. These solutions are already in routine operation across more than ten logistics centers nationwide in partnership with China Post and SF Express. On the financing front, RobotEra has completed nine funding rounds since its inception. In 2026 alone, the company raised nearly RMB 5 billion, including a RMB 1 billion strategic round in early March, a USD 200+ million round at the end of April, and another RMB 1 billion round in early July.
