All-New Hyundai Tucson Debuts with Larger Dimensions

Hyundai unveiled the all-new Tucson on August 19. The new model features a bold exterior design defined by sharp lines and pronounced creases. Its dimensions have been significantly increased across the board: length now measures 4,700 mm (up by 60 mm), width 1,905 mm (up by 40 mm), height 1,685 mm (up by 20 mm), and wheelbase 2,785 mm. The rear doors now open to an angle of 83 degrees, rear headroom has increased by 29 mm, and the rear triangular side windows are larger in area. Illuminated H-shaped design elements appear on both the front and rear ends, with highly cohesive lighting signatures linking the front and rear lamp clusters. Inside, the new Tucson debuts Hyundai’s latest Pleos infotainment system, complemented by a standalone digital instrument cluster positioned at the top of the dashboard. A row of physical buttons remains on the center console. The cabin is appointed with perforated upholstery, wood-grain trim, and ambient lighting. Hyundai has so far only revealed the vehicle’s design and dimensions, withholding details on powertrain and other technical specifications. The new Tucson is scheduled to launch first in South Korea in late 2024, with rollouts in other global markets expected to follow gradually through 2027.
