On August 19, Xiaomi Auto unveiled detailed specifications for its Pengcheng N70 Max—a large five-seater AWD extended-range SUV—and announced that the model is expected to officially launch in September, with small deposits now open for reservation. The vehicle is equipped with a 76 kWh battery pack and a 45 L fuel tank, powered by Xiaomi’s Kunlun 1.5T range extender. It delivers a CLTC pure-electric range of 505 km and a combined CLTC range of up to 1,461 km. The battery uses Xiaomi’s Longjia (Dragon Armor) battery technology, which claims a cell cycle life exceeding 2,000 cycles, functional integrity maintained after a 500 J underbody impact, and no thermal runaway propagation even when fully charged at 55°C—exceeding national safety standards. For charging, it can replenish up to 310 km of range in just 15 minutes and boasts over 99% compatibility with public charging stations. For intelligent driving, the N70 Max comes standard with LiDAR, 4D millimeter-wave radar, an NVIDIA Thor chip delivering 700 TOPS of computing power, Xiaomi’s HAD advanced driver-assistance system, and the Xiaomi XLA cognitive large model.
