On August 19, GAC Trumpchi announced the rollout of OTA 3.0 upgrades for its Trumpchi Xiangwang S9 model, featuring Huawei’s Qiankun ADS V4.1 intelligent driving system and HarmonySpace 5 powered by HarmonyOS. The update introduces a new cruise parking function that enables the vehicle to automatically identify and park into vacant spots along its route while driving at low speeds in parking garages or campus areas. Enhanced reversing safety alerts now detect blind-spot hazards and highlight them in red on the display screen with active warnings. The new lateral collision avoidance feature actively applies brakes and steers away when adjacent vehicles cut in closely or force their way into the lane. Additionally, urban navigation assistance has been expanded in coverage and simplified for activation. HarmonySpace 5 debuts advanced in-car AI large-model capabilities, offering faster responses to questions about vehicle maintenance and usage. The upgraded audio-visual search experience integrates encyclopedia content with video resources and supports voice-controlled playback. Voice search now directly initiates navigation—simply state your destination, and AI retrieves it for one-tap route guidance. Ventilation while parked can now be controlled via both touchscreen and voice commands and can be set to activate automatically after the driver leaves the vehicle. A new “One-Tap Camping Bed” mode quickly transforms the cabin into a spacious sleeping area by synchronously adjusting front and second-row seats. Positioned as a mid-to-large SUV, the Trumpchi Xiangwang S9 measures 5,060 mm in length, 1,950 mm in width, and 1,760 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,930 mm. It is available in both five- and six-seat configurations and features a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, a 15.6-inch central infotainment screen, and a 17.3-inch rear-seat low-blue-light eye-care entertainment display. Launched in September 2023 with a starting price of RMB 229,900, the S9 comes standard with Huawei ADS 4 Max, a CATL 44.5 kWh Xiaoyao super hybrid battery, and GAC’s advanced intelligent electric all-wheel-drive system.
