On August 20, Onvo—the new brand under NIO—launched the L60 Road Feel Chassis Kit on its official online store, making it available for purchase by owners of all 2024 Onvo L60 models. Priced at a limited-time promotional rate of RMB 2,999 (originally RMB 3,999), the kit allows partial payment using loyalty points. Currently in the pre-sale phase, shipments are expected to begin on September 1. The kit includes two front shock absorbers, two rear shock absorbers, two front springs, and two rear springs. It enhances chassis tuning by increasing spring stiffness and optimizing shock absorber damping at both axles. According to the company, after installation, the vehicle exhibits reduced body oscillation and improved stability over undulating roads, jumps, speed bumps, and consecutive rough surfaces, while also delivering enhanced road feedback. Based on official comparison radar charts, the upgraded kit outperforms the standard factory chassis setup in “lateral control over speed bumps,” “comfort during airborne landings,” and “vertical control over undulating roads.” However, it scores lower than the stock setup in terms of “impact harshness over speed bumps” and “road texture perception/NVH.” Owners can place orders via the Onvo Auto App store. A service representative will contact them within 24 hours to schedule an installation appointment. Customers must drive to a designated service center for the installation, which typically takes about four hours. Components included in the kit are covered by a 12-month or 20,000-kilometer warranty (whichever comes first) from the invoice date. The original vehicle warranty remains valid for the replaced parts as long as the car is within its overall warranty period. This upgrade does not affect future OTA update services, and removed original parts will be collected and recycled by NIO or its authorized third parties.
