Shenzhen’s First Vehicle Emissions Testing Center Loses License Over Fraudulent "Proxy Inspections"

Shenzhen Fuxinlong Vehicle Inspection Co., Ltd. has had its inspection qualification legally revoked for fabricating motor vehicle emission test results through "proxy testing." On August 19, the Shenzhen Municipal Ecology and Environment Bureau announced that three local inspection agencies have been referred to public security organs for criminal investigation, while another three—found guilty of falsification with "serious circumstances"—have been handed over to market regulation authorities for handling. Fuxinlong is the first motor vehicle emission inspection agency in Shenzhen to lose its inspection qualification since the Ministry of Ecology and Environment and the State Administration for Market Regulation jointly issued the "Opinion on Criteria for Determining 'Serious Circumstances' in Cases of Fabricating Emission Test Results or Issuing False Emission Inspection Reports by Motor Vehicle Emission Inspection Agencies."
