American hypercar manufacturer Czinger has tested its 21C hypercar and collected data during an open track day at the Nürburgring Nordschleife in April 2024. CEO Lukas Czinger clarified that this test was not an official timed lap attempt, as other vehicles were also on the circuit; the 21C only completed several high-speed sections. The team later combined real-world segment times with simulation data to estimate a full-lap performance, concluding the car "definitely has a chance" to contend for the Nürburgring’s production car lap record. Czinger has not yet set a date for an official record attempt, noting that preparing a full-fledged challenge could take over a year. The current record stands at 6 minutes 29.090 seconds, set by the Mercedes-AMG One in 2022—the first and only road-legal production car to break the 6-minute-30-second barrier.
