BYD Fangchengbao Fangcheng S and Fangcheng S GT Make Global Debut, Priced at RMB 230,000–280,000

At the Chengdu Auto Show held on August 21, 2026, BYD’s Fangcheng Bao brand unveiled its all-new coupe models—the Fangcheng S and Fangcheng S GT—for their global physical debut. Nationwide pre-orders for both models opened on August 20, with a pre-order price range of RMB 230,000 to 280,000. The series is scheduled to launch in the third quarter of 2026. During the Beijing International Automotive Exhibition in April this year, Fangcheng Bao announced that its sedan lineup would be named “Fangcheng S,” revealing three models: the Fangcheng S, the Fangcheng SL three-box sedan, and the Fangcheng S GT shooting brake. In June, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology’s 408th batch of the “Announcement of Road Motor Vehicle Manufacturers and Products” officially listed the Fangcheng S and Fangcheng S GT for product registration. According to the registration data, the Fangcheng S measures 5,060 mm in length, 1,967 mm in width, and either 1,483 mm or 1,458 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,960 mm. Its curb weight is 2,140 kg, gross vehicle weight is 2,580 kg, and top speed reaches 240 km/h. It will be offered with either a single motor delivering peak power of 245 kW or 300 kW, or a dual-motor configuration producing 190 kW/300 kW, all paired with lithium iron phosphate (LFP) batteries. The Fangcheng S GT measures either 5,025 mm or 5,095 mm in length, 1,967 mm in width, and either 1,483 mm or 1,458 mm in height, with the same 2,960 mm wheelbase. It has a curb weight of 2,170 kg, a gross vehicle weight of 2,595 kg, and a top speed of 240 km/h. Powertrain options include a single motor with 300 kW peak output or a dual-motor setup rated at 190 kW/300 kW, also mated to LFP batteries.
