On August 21, the State Administration for Market Regulation announced that a Chinese-proposed international standard proposal titled "Secondary Lithium-ion Batteries for Electric Vehicle Propulsion—Guidelines, Test Items, and Conditions for Solid-state Batteries" has recently been successfully approved for development by the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC). This standard marks the world's first international standard in the field of solid-state batteries, spearheaded by China with participation from experts from multiple countries including France, South Korea, and Japan. The standard will establish clear testing protocols for solid-state batteries, providing a unified technical basis for global automakers in the research, development, and production of solid-state batteries.
