The BYD Fangchengbao Tiang 9 made its global debut at the 2026 Chengdu International Auto Show and is scheduled to launch in the fourth quarter of 2026. The vehicle measures 5,270 mm in length, 1,999 mm in width, and 1,850 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3,130 mm, an approach angle of 19°, and a departure angle of 22°. It offers two wheel options: 21-inch and 22-inch. The rear features a dual-opening "Heaven-and-Earth" tailgate and a six-seat layout, with the third-row seats fully foldable across all trims. Built on a unibody chassis, it is equipped with BYD’s Yunniu-P Ultra intelligent hydraulic suspension system and comes standard with rear-wheel steering across the entire lineup. Powering the vehicle is a plug-in hybrid all-wheel-drive system combining a 1.5T engine with front and rear electric motors, utilizing BYD’s sixth-generation DM-i hybrid technology. The 1.5T engine delivers a maximum output of 115 kW, while the combined output of the front and rear motors reaches 400 kW. It is paired with a 66.48 kWh battery pack, offering a WLTC-rated all-electric range of 310 km and a combined full-tank/full-charge driving range exceeding 1,600 km.
