Zhang Zhuo, General Manager of BYD Ocean Network Sales Division, revealed during the 2026 Chengdu Auto Show that the "Big Seagull" and Ocean Network MPV models will be launched within this year. In July, BYD already filed for a new Seagull model, which measures 4,205 mm in length, 1,810 mm in width, and 1,570 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,650 mm. The vehicle is rated for five passengers, has a top speed of 150 km/h, and comes equipped with 205/60R16 tires, an anti-lock braking system (ABS), and an Event Data Recorder (EDR). An ETC onboard unit is available as an optional feature. The new model is powered by a permanent magnet synchronous motor produced by BYD Auto Co., Ltd. in Zhengzhou, delivering a peak power of 95 kW and a rated power of 40 kW. Battery options, supplied by FinDreams Battery, include two lithium iron phosphate (LFP) variants with capacities of 29.99 kWh and 39.23 kWh, offering CLTC-rated ranges of 320 km and 420 km, respectively. Higher-trim versions can be optionally equipped with LiDAR to support advanced driver-assistance functions.
