On August 24, He Xiaopeng announced that, in addition to continuing his role as CEO of XPeng Motors, he would personally take on the position of CEO of XPeng Robotics. He stated that over the past 12 years, XPeng has consistently pursued full-stack in-house development of both software and hardware, enabling the company to leverage its group-wide resources—including supply chain capabilities, automotive-grade manufacturing expertise, and global footprint built through its vehicle business, as well as the Turing AI chips, AI infrastructure, and physical-world foundation models developed through its autonomous driving division—to integrate and apply these strengths to its robotics business, accelerating mass production and commercialization.
