On August 24, Shao Mingfeng, Chief Brand Officer of Voyah and General Manager of its Sales Company, announced that at 13:00 on August 25, the company will livestream the teardown of a Voyah Taishan X8 test vehicle that has completed a 40,000-kilometer durability test. The vehicle underwent over 20 different environmental conditions and more than a dozen high-intensity harsh driving scenarios. Accounting for the test track’s severity factor, this equates to approximately 300,000 kilometers (or roughly 10–20 years) of typical daily usage. The teardown will showcase the wear condition of the "Hu Ju" chassis, the durability of the three-chamber air suspension, and the protective performance of the battery pack. The Voyah Taishan X8 was launched on May 22, offering both PHEV and EV powertrain options. The PHEV variant features a 65 kWh battery pack, delivering a CLTC pure-electric range of 370 km and a combined range of 1,506 km. The EV version is equipped with a 120 kWh battery pack, achieving a CLTC pure-electric range of 727 km. The vehicle measures 5,200 mm in length, 2,025 mm in width, and 1,814 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3,090 mm. It adopts an 800V architecture across all domains and supports 5C ultra-fast charging.
