At the company's interim earnings conference, He Xiaopeng, Chairman of XPeng Inc., stated that the XPeng IRON program will enter mass production starting from the end of 2024, initially deploying commercial applications in XPeng stores and campuses. The product is scheduled for official market launch in 2027, targeting external customers in retail and service sectors, with large-scale deliveries commencing in both China and overseas markets. By 2025, its monthly production capacity can be rapidly scaled up to several thousand units based on market demand. Over its full lifecycle, XPeng IRON is expected to generate significantly higher revenue and gross profit contributions—derived from hardware sales and recurring income from software and AI model upgrades—compared to the current average selling price and gross margin per vehicle in XPeng’s automotive business.
