On August 25, Yu Chengdong, Executive Director of Huawei, announced that cumulative deliveries of the Luxeed V9 have exceeded 20,000 units, setting a new record for the fastest delivery milestone among new energy MPVs priced around RMB 500,000. He also revealed that in July, the Luxeed V9 captured a 68% retail market share in the premium MPV segment. In response to online inquiries about whether the Luxeed V9 will be upgraded to L3-level autonomous driving next year, Zhao Changjiang, Executive Director and Executive Vice President of Luxeed Auto, simply replied, "Yes." Earlier this year, in May, Zhao had stated that the Luxeed V9 was already equipped with hardware pre-installed for L3-level autonomous driving. On December 15, 2023, China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) granted the country’s first batch of conditional L3 autonomous driving vehicle access permits, allowing two models to conduct on-road pilot tests in designated areas. Specifically, the Changan SC7000AAARBEV all-electric sedan is permitted to operate single-lane autonomous driving at speeds up to 50 km/h on certain expressways in Chongqing, while the Arcfox BJ7001A61NBEV all-electric sedan can perform single-lane autonomous driving at speeds up to 80 km/h on designated highway sections in Beijing.
