On August 25, Xiaomi Auto released its "Answers to Netizens" (Episode 283), revealing that the Pengcheng N90 Max model features intelligent power doors equipped with "door-opening collision warning" and obstacle-avoidance capabilities. This functionality is enabled by a fused perception system comprising nine cameras, four millimeter-wave radars integrated into the doors, and one forward-facing LiDAR. When a passenger opens the power door, if the system detects an approaching vehicle, e-bike, or bicycle rapidly moving toward the front or rear of the door, it immediately issues a warning, halts the door's movement, and applies resistance to prevent full opening—enhancing safety. In narrow spaces or when obstacles or pedestrians are present near the door, the system actively avoids collisions by pausing the door’s motion. If the obstacle or pedestrian moves away within a short time, the door resumes opening automatically. Additionally, Xiaomi Auto stated that the rear seatbacks of the Pengcheng N70 Max can uniformly support a static load of 200 kg when fully reclined. When paired with an upcoming official mattress accessory, the setup can sustain a continuous 200 kg load for 24 hours under static pressure without rupture or structural damage. All models in the lineup offer an optional track-mounted desk tray, which can be stowed in a dedicated storage bag and kept in the trunk when not in use.
