On August 24, Feng Xingya, Chairman of GAC Group, met with Ren Zhengfei, founder of Huawei, in Shenzhen. Qijing Auto stated that this meeting marked a pivotal moment in advancing their collaboration from “strategic alignment” to “deepened development,” following their initial strategic partnership established a year ago. Luo Jianhua, General Manager of Qijing Auto’s Product Division, said the next-generation smart vehicle is co-defined, deeply integrated at the foundational level, and developed through end-to-end collaboration. The Qijing GX7 embodies this philosophy, having been designed from inception around an 8-series large five-seater specification and positioned as a “class-above 7-series” model. The vehicle made its global debut on August 21 at the 2026 Chengdu Auto Show and is scheduled for market launch in September. Display units have already begun arriving at 31 stores across 22 cities nationwide. Qijing Auto announced it has successfully completed the first phase of product and market validation and has now entered an accelerated growth stage, focusing squarely on the premium intelligent EV segment priced around RMB 300,000. In terms of service infrastructure, Huawei’s Qiankun Intelligent Driving authorized experience centers and Qijing authorized user centers now span over 90 cities with more than 300 outlets. The Qijing GX7 features Huawei’s HarmonySpace 6 cockpit powered by HarmonyOS, incorporates a pre-installed L3-grade advanced intelligent driving architecture, and employs an L3-level full-chain eight-fold redundancy design.
