On August 26, AITO announced that the AITO M6 Max is equipped with an industry-first co-optical-path in-cabin LiDAR, supporting Huawei’s Qiankun ADS intelligent driving system. This LiDAR employs a fused LiDAR-and-camera solution, enabling detection of small objects as low as 30 cm at distances up to 116 meters even in low-light conditions, and achieving zero-latency fusion of 3D point cloud data with 2D image information. The vehicle supports urban NCA (Navigate on City Streets), highway NCA, and campus NCA functions, with campus NCA coverage already extended to over one million campuses nationwide. It also features the comprehensive Collision Avoidance System (CAS) 5.0, offering 24 active safety capabilities—including side obstacle collision avoidance, irregular obstacle recognition, and prevention of unintended acceleration pedal activation. Powered by Huawei’s Qiankun ADS WEWA architecture, which leverages 60 EFLOPS of cloud computing power and over tens of billions of kilometers of assisted-driving data, the system continuously refines the assisted-driving experience. According to prior reports, the AITO M6 has delivered more than 45,000 units within four months of its launch and earned a top-tier "G+" rating across all four categories in the 2026 China Automotive Technology & Research Center (CATARC) China Intelligent Vehicle Index.
