Sunwoda Reports H1 2026 Revenue of RMB 38.179 Billion, Up 41.48% YoY

Sunwoda (SZSE: 300207) released its unaudited interim financial results for the first half of 2026 on the evening of August 26, 2026. The company reported revenue of RMB 38.179 billion in H1 2026, an increase of 41.48% year-over-year. Revenue from its consumer battery business reached RMB 14.452 billion, up 4% year-over-year. Sunwoda maintained its position as the global leader in mobile phone battery shipments, with a market share exceeding 30%, and ranked second globally in notebook and tablet battery market share. In the EV battery segment, Sunwoda shipped 28.36 GWh of electric vehicle batteries in H1 2026, a 76.37% year-over-year increase, generating revenue of RMB 14.134 billion, up 85.87% year-over-year. According to SNE Research, Sunwoda ranked first globally in HEV lithium-ion battery installations in Q2 2026. The energy storage business saw strong order demand and high capacity utilization. Cumulative production of its self-developed 684Ah stacked cells surpassed 2 million units, while the 588Ah wound cells commenced mass production at its Deyang facility. Both products have entered volume delivery phases. Driven by surging global demand for AIDC (Artificial Intelligence Data Center) backup power solutions, Sunwoda achieved a record-high order volume for AIDC energy storage systems. In terms of R&D investment, Sunwoda spent RMB 2.363 billion on research and development in H1 2026, representing an R&D expense ratio of over 6%. The company is advancing its “AI + Management, AI + Manufacturing, AI + Products” strategy and was awarded the Second Prize of the 2025 Wu Wenjun Artificial Intelligence Science and Technology Progress Award for its project titled “Key Technologies and Industrial Application of Intelligent Manufacturing and Defect Detection for the Lithium Battery Industry.” On the globalization front, the Phase I of Sunwoda’s Thailand battery manufacturing base commenced operations in H1 2026, with Phase II launched concurrently. Construction is underway for its Hungarian EV battery plant and Vietnamese consumer cell facility. The company is also actively developing a Digital Product Passport (DPP) platform for batteries to comply with regulatory requirements such as the EU’s new Battery Regulation.
