NVIDIA has recently held serious discussions with AI platform Hugging Face regarding a potential acquisition, with the deal valued at over $13 billion, which could become one of NVIDIA’s largest acquisitions to date. According to sources familiar with the matter, no final agreement has been reached yet, and the talks could still fall apart. Hugging Face hosts millions of AI models and datasets and serves tens of thousands of organizations, with over 2,000 paying customers. The company operates on a freemium business model, converting approximately 3% to 5% of its users into paying customers. It reported revenue of around $70 million in 2023, which grew to approximately $130 million in 2024. The company has now achieved an annualized revenue run rate exceeding $150 million, marking a 50% increase within just two months.
