BYD Auto announced that the inauguration ceremony for its 10,000th Flash Charging Station—the Shenzhen Longhua Flagship Flash Charging Station—will be held at 9:00 a.m. on August 28, 2026. The station was completed in less than six months. As of July 2026, BYD has built over 7,000 flash charging stations across 325 cities and plans to reach a total of 20,000 stations by the end of 2026, including 18,000 urban stations and 2,000 highway stations. On March 5, 2026, BYD unveiled a flash charger with a maximum single-gun output of 1,500 kW, enabling vehicles equipped with the second-generation Blade Battery to charge from 10% to 70% in just five minutes and to 97% in nine minutes. Even in extreme cold conditions of -30°C, charging from 20% to 97% takes approximately 12 minutes—only three minutes longer than under normal temperatures.
