On August 26, a set of images showing the Lexus RX Morizo RR prototype undergoing road testing in Europe was released. The vehicle features light camouflage and is finished in the factory Copper Crest paint color. Its front fascia includes large air intakes similar to those on the RX 500h F Sport Performance, along with widened wheel arch extensions. At the rear, the bumper trim matches the body color and features two temporary cutouts for exhaust tips. The prototype rides on 21-inch multi-spoke wheels partially obscured by covers, fitted with Michelin Pilot Sport 4 SUV tires—265/40 ZR21 up front and 295/35 ZR21 at the rear. The braking system reveals larger drilled discs and red Brembo calipers. According to reports, the RX Morizo RR is expected to be powered by a hybrid all-wheel-drive system combining Toyota’s upcoming 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine with two electric motors. Upon launch, it will enter the high-performance SUV segment, competing against models such as the BMW X5 M and Audi RS Q8.
